RUGER MINI 14 CLIPS
 

Finally got to the range to try my new clips I got at last gun show, 20 round ruger factory mags for the mini 14, went thru almost 400 rounds without a mishap compared to every few clips using the knock offs made by different manufactures, it's worth paying twice as much for the factory mag than using cheapies like eagle ect, least wise for the larger calibers. I've used the eagles and others for the 10/22 and they work pretty good but just dont hold water to the mini 14 real deals.

I had a Mini-14 long ago. I was using stainless steel aftermarket 30rd mags that I had worked on the lips to get reliable feeding, I think they were from a company called Precision or PMI, something like that. I also found that the follower on the 5rd mag could be easily modified to make the magazine feed 6 rounds. It was a fun little rifle, I never had any trouble out of mine. I kind of miss it sometimes.

How much are the factory 20rd mags running these days? I recall them as having been quite scarce when I had my Mini in the mid 90's.

Rev, they are still hard to come by, I was lucky to pick up three new ones at a gun show , They had them marked 45.00 each, I got him to go 100 bucks for the 3, I love the mini 14, very reliable./
